Kornic beaches and town
 Kornic is the small town about
6 km from the town of Krk, 3 km from Punat and 500 meters from
the sea. From the town you have a beautiful view on the bay
of Kosljun (also called bay of Punat), small island of Kosljun
with francescan's monastery and town of Punat. The name Kornic
probably comes from the latin word "cornu" which means horn
or from the word"cornix" which means crow, beautiful birds that
you can see in the zone of Kornic. On the coast, before to turn
left for Kornic you can visit a small church St. Dunat built
in 13th century. From the studies of sun rays prof. Mladen Pejakovic
demonstrate that church is a solar calendar and it was built
by rigid rules, even though you wouldn't say look at it.In the
year 1993 it was open for the first time summer school of glagolitic
alphabet , and it repeats every year.
